Hey there, Alexa here!

I am a self taught web designer, developer and front-end engineer, and I discovered my love for coding and front and development in late 2020.

I graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) in May of 2019 earning my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering with minors in Entrepreneurship and Mathematics. Shortly after, I held a position as a Field Account Executive for an occupational health company. I learned a ton through this experience, but I decided that I wanted to further grow in a profession where I could utilize my strong problem-solving skills along-side my creativity, and through this, I discovered my passion for front-end engineering and web development!

I am mainly self-taught with the assistance of an online coding platform, Codecademy, and I have learned, mastered and continue to build the skills on the many aspects that make up this exciting field. With all the new skills I am developing (no pun intended, really), I can't wait to become a front-end developer!

I continue to work on projects and learn new skills, and I am currently working on the full-stack engineering career path on Codecademy to learn more about the back-end technologies in web development

Freelanced a website for a local demolition company, Elite Demolition located in the Seattle, WA area

Through some serious consideration, research and some soul-searching, I found my love for coding and front end development and have been learning and developing my skills since

Left the FAE position, as I wanted to hold a position that better fit my skill set, such as strategically problem-solving and finding creative solutions

Aug 2019 - May 2020

Held a position as a Field Account Executive at an occupational health company called Concentra in Kent, WA

May 2019

Graduated from Washington State University earning my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, with minors in mathematics and entrepreneurship

When I’m not spending my time strengthening my coding skills…

In my free time, I also enjoy partaking in outdoor activities such as hiking, roller blading and playing golf, completing DIY and other art projects, jamming out to some k-pop, and assisting friends/colleagues in anything math related (I know, I know, “Who enjoys that” right? I just genuinely LOVE math!).
